Our Archer/P2000 Class training ship
The Original and Best
HMS Archer is the first and lead ship of the Archer/P2000 class of Fast patrol Boat.
Based in Leith, she is the Royal Navy’s most northernly homeported vessel.
During term time, Archer can generally be found out on the Forth with students embarked on sea training weekends, allowing them to practise the navigation they have been taught in the classroom.
In addition to this, she spends three weeks at Easter around the UK and seven weeks in the summer deployed to Europe and the UK in company with the other URNU training vessels.
She is currently commanded by Lieutenant Charles Stevenson RN.
